Independent Chartered Surveyors, Rooted in Battersea
Battersea Surveyors started with a simple idea: that people buying or selling property in South West London deserved better. Better advice, better communication, and a surveyor who actually knew their street.
When our founder, David Warren, set up the practice in 2005, he'd already spent twelve years working for larger surveying firms across London. He'd seen clients receive dense, impenetrable survey reports full of caveats and legal disclaimers — but nothing that told them what to actually do about the problems found.
"I wanted to start a firm where the surveyor you speak to on the phone is the same person who inspects your property and writes your report," David explains. "No hand-offs, no confusion. Just one person who takes responsibility from start to finish."
Nearly two decades later, that philosophy still drives everything we do. Our firm of RICS surveyors has grown — but the commitment to personal service hasn't changed. We carry out hundreds of surveys across Battersea, Wandsworth and central London each year, and we're proud that the majority of our new clients come through personal recommendations.
We're accredited under RICS (Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors), CIOB and RPSA — the three main professional bodies for property surveyors in the UK. That means you get the assurance of professional regulation, independent oversight, and the security of professional indemnity insurance on every instruction.
